Short Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team in Luxembourg. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our dynamic team at the statistical division of SCRIPT, itself part of the Ministry of Education in Luxembourg.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with administrative data from the Luxembourgish educational system.
Your role will involve working closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data flow, storage, accessibility, quality and analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about data sciences, enjoys working with people from various backgrounds and modern technologies, and wants to make an impact on education in Luxembourg.
Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize statistical methods to analyze and provide insights on the Luxembourgish educational system, supporting data-driven decision-making.
• Support the answer to complex data requests by leveraging internal databases and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of insights. • Develop automated data validation systems to uphold the consistency, reliability, and integrity of large, multifaceted datasets.
• Design and deliver sophisticated data visualizations and dashboards tailored to inform and engage key stakeholders effectively. What we Offer:

Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree (candidates who have completed their Master's degree are not eligible).
• Must be an EU citizen.
• High level working proficiency in English; knowledge of French and/or German and/or Luxembourgish is a plus.
• Experience with programming languages such as R or Python, or experience with SQL Databases
Qualifications which will be considered a plus:
• Previous experience in applying statistical methods to real-world business problems or research projects.
• Experience In collaborating with others in programming projects, along with the ability to write efficient, clean, and well-documented code.
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib, to create compelling and insightful visualizations.
